Salentein | Brand Identity
about
Salentein Experience is the cultural arm of Bodegas Salentein in Mendoza, Argentina — a destination where wine, art, architecture, and nature come together. The concept was to build a visual identity that reflects “El Buen Vivir” (the good life): a philosophy rooted in harmony with the land, respect for local culture, and the celebration of sensory experiences. The central idea was the “portal” — a symbol of transition between the everyday and the extraordinary, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in a holistic journey through wine, art, and landscape
challenge
The design system was developed by studying Salentein’s core values: nature, art, gastronomy, and spiritual connection to place.
Logo & Symbol: I created an imagotype combining typography (“Salentein” in Roc Grotesk ExtraWide, “Experience” in Roc Grotesk Wide) with an isotype derived from the iconic stone portal of the winery. This synthesis visually unites the three pillars — nature, art, and gastronomy.
Visual System: Textures inspired by stone and soil, warm muted tones referencing the Andean landscape, and a typographic mix of wide and bold grotesque cuts that emphasize modern elegance.
Applications: The identity was extended into posters, brochures, and signage, ensuring consistency across both physical and digital touchpoints. The system was designed with scalability in mind — adaptable for Salentein Experience, the Posada, and the Killka art space, while maintaining a cohesive brand architecture.
result.
The final outcome was a comprehensive brand identity system that could seamlessly live across large-scale posters, brochures, environmental graphics, and sub-brands (Killka and Posada). The bold yet refined typography ensured visibility, while the earthy color palette and textures echoed the region’s natural and cultural heritage. The portal symbol became a unifying mark that anchored the experience, linking wine, art, and nature under a single narrative.
Printed materials such as catalogs, posters, and promotional pieces elevated the visitor journey, while the brand architecture allowed each space within Salentein — the winery, the Posada, and Killka — to express its individuality while remaining tied to the parent identity. The result is a visual system that conveys tranquility, sophistication, and cultural authenticity, positioning Salentein Experience as more than a winery: a place where design, art, and environment merge into a holistic lifestyle experience
